Frequently Asked Questions

[][1]How can I get to your location?

You can get to our location by either car, bus, train or boat.

How do I get from the cruise pier to your location?

You can simply walk. We are located less than 5 minutes of walking away from the cruise pier. Just walk towards Flåm railway station & the museum and you will see a white building right next to the water.

Can I bring my camera on your tour?

Yes you can. It will only get wet if its raining and not by spray from the fjord. You can always bring a drybag for it or keep it inside your provided flotation suit.

Where do I book?

Click on the big icon in the top menu that says “BOOK NOW”.

What kind of clothes should I be wearing?

We will provide you with all the necessary clothes that you don’t have yourself for free.

You have to dress for the season. Imagine driving in a car that is going 60 km/h(40mph) and sticking your hand out the window for 2 hours. Even in the summer this can be a cold experience. We recommend you to dress warm for all seasons but especially during winter.

Can I store my luggage with you?

We do allow our guests to store their bags (smaller items) at our location in safe lockers. It is free of charge. For larger items we recommend using the luggage storage service at the train station.

What time should I be there for my tour?

On all boat tours it is required to arrive for check in 20 minutes before departure (30 minutes before during winter). This is for dressing you up, getting your names on our passenger list and giving a safety briefing before departure. For hiking or customized tours, you should be there on the time agreed on when making the reservation.

Is there an age/size limit?

We do not have an age limit on our tours, but we do however recommend our winter visitors to not bring very small children on the tour, as they can get quite cold (recommended 6 years and above).

Infants (0-3 years old) can join for free on parents lap and do not need a ticket. However, please add a comment (with age) in your reservation if you are bringing an infant so we can be prepared with the correct clothing for boat tours or car seat for land based tours.

Regarding clothes, we have suits and clothing ranging from small baby sizes to very big XXL sizes.

How safe is your tour?

Safety is our number one priority on our tours. You will be wearing a full flotation body suit in addition to a life jacket. There will be a safety briefing before the tour. In our 15 years of business, we have never had anyone fall in the water. Our tours are very safe and emergency equipment is always brought on boat rides and guided hikes.

Can I change/cancel my order?

We try to be very flexible regarding changes, so you are always welcome to contact us to check possibilities. We can however not guarantee that the new requested departure time or date have availability.

You can find our refund policy here: [][6]

The fjord is actually extra magic when its raining!
